Rep. member supports Adeleke’s campaign with 10 buses, 150 motorcycles in Osun
The Lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State at the National Assembly, Rep. Bamidele Salam, has donated 10 buses and 150 motorcycles to campaign coordinators in Ede Federal Constituency to bolster the re-election campaign of Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
The distribution took place on Tuesday, May 11, 2026, at the country home of the late Isiaka Adeleke in Ede, during the official launch of the Accord Party’s campaign across Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo federal constituency.
Salam, who chairs the Media and Publicity Committee of the Imole Campaign Council, said the vehicles were allocated to coordinators drawn from 42 wards in the constituency.
According to him, the intervention is intended to improve campaign logistics, enhance door-to-door voter engagement and strengthen grassroots mobilisation.
He described the beneficiaries as ward-level coordinators responsible for driving local campaign activities and urged them to use the vehicles responsibly.
Salam also expressed confidence that Adeleke would secure victory at the polls.
At the event, Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni praised the initiative, urging recipients to deploy the vehicles effectively while observing safety during the campaign period.
The Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council and Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, said the donation reflects Salam’s continued commitment to grassroots politics and party development.
He added that public office should be leveraged to deliver tangible impact through representation and empowerment.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council, Prof. Wale Oladipupo, inaugurated the campaign committee for Ede Federal Constituency and charged members to intensify efforts toward electoral victory, expressing optimism about Adeleke’s chances.
The constituency campaign council is chaired by Elder Sunday Atidade Akande, with local government chairmen and party stakeholders serving as members.
The event was attended by the Osun State Chairman of the Accord Party, Pastor Victor Akande, alongside lawmakers, government officials, party leaders and supporters.
Salam, who currently represents Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State at the National Assembly. His continuous intervention in the campaign comes as he also prepares to seek re-election to the National Assembly in 2027, positioning himself as a key figure in both constituency mobilisation and broader party strategy in Osun State.
