Rep. Salam Supports Ara Day Celebration With 2 million Naira, Assures On More Projects

In a remarkable display of support for the cultural heritage and development of Ara Kingdom, Representative Bamidele Salam, representing the Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun state in the National Assembly, has donated N2 million to support the annual Ara Day celebration and assured them on more developmental projects.

The event, which was held in the heart of Ara Town, Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State, also marked the 5th anniversary of the coronation of His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Olubayo Ademola Windapo Oyelade Abidogun I, the revered Alara of Ara Kingdom.

The grand occasion was graced by community leaders, sons and daughters of Ara Kingdom, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the rich cultural traditions of the town.

In his congratulatory message, Rep. Salam, who was represented by the Majority Leader of the Osun State House of Assembly, Akogun Nurudeen Kofoworola Babajide expressed heartfelt felicitations to Oba Dr. Olubayo Windapo and the entire Ara Kingdom, wishing them peace, progress, and prosperity.

Salam, who’s also House Committee Chairman on Public Accounts, acknowledged the significant strides made by the monarch and his leadership in the advancement of the kingdom over the past five years.

“I congratulate His Royal Majesty, the Alara of Ara, and the entire people of Ara Kingdom on this monumental occasion. May God’s peace and prosperity continue to reign in Ara.”

“I believe that with unity and continued dedication, the kingdom will achieve even greater heights,” Rep. Salam said.

As the celebrations continue, the people of Ara remain hopeful that such gestures of goodwill will strengthen the bond between the royal institution, the local government, and the wider Osun State community.
