Rep. Salam Donates N2 Million to Student Bodies, Marks First Anniversary with Interfaith Thanksgiving
Rep. Bamidele Salam, representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo federal constituency, has donated N2 million to student bodies as he marked the first anniversary of the 10th National Assembly with an interfaith thanksgiving service.
The event, held on September 16, 2024, brought together religious leaders, community members, and students from the Federation of Edeland Students’ Union (FELSU), Federation of Egbedore Local Government Students’ Association (FELGSA), and Ejigbo Local Government Area Students’ Association (ELGASA).
Rep. Salam presented a cheque of ₦500,000 each to FELSU (Ede North and South), FELGSA, and ELGASA, totaling ₦2 million, to support their educational pursuits and welfare programmes.
“This donation is a token of my appreciation and pledge to the Students’ bodies during my re-election in 2023.”
“I am committed to empowering our youth and ensuring their access to quality education. This subvention will be an annual gesture to support the students’ body projects and programmes”
“I also urge our religious clerics to intensify prayers for the PDP administration of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, assuring that, the Governor will not relent in his efforts to turn things around and improve on the wellbeing of the people”
Kolawole Abeebullahi, ELGASA President, expressed gratitude on behalf of the other Union leaders, saying, “This donation will greatly impact our members, enabling us to provide financial support, skills training, and other support programs.”
“We just concluded the Summer Classes organized by our ever-working representative to support the secondary school student’s academic excellence.”

The interfaith service featured prayers and blessings from Christian and Muslim leaders from the four local governments, seeking divine guidance and wisdom for Rep. Salam’s continued service.
Part of the programmes lined up to mark the first anniversary at the 10th Assembly, include the commissioning of some newly installed solar-powered boreholes, the Commissioning of a number of electrification projects, empowerment programs, the distribution of academic materials, and Medical/Welfare Outreach
These initiatives demonstrate Rep. Salam’s dedication to his constituency’s well-being and development.
Present at the thanksgiving event are the PDP party chairmen in the 4 local governments, leader of the party in the federal constituency, Elder Sunday Akanfe Atidade, Hon Rotimi Ogunrinade representing Egbedore State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Mama Atinuke Oyawoye, Baba Kolade Adeleke, Hon Akin Ajetunmobi, PDP chairmanship candidates in the forthcoming local government elections and several other dignitaries in the federal constituency.
