Rep. Bamidele Salam Honoured with NANS Southwest Award of Excellence for Outstanding Service
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone D, on Wednesday presented an Award of Excellence to Representative Bamidele Salam, a distinguished member representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State.
The award was given in recognition of Rep. Salam’s exceptional contributions and unwavering commitment to the development of his constituency, particularly in the area of education.
In a visit to the Lawmaker in his office, Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode, Assistant General Secretary of NANS Southwest commended Salam for his impactful leadership, describing him as a father figure and an enduring inspiration to Nigerian students.
It was recalled that the lawmaker was a former student union leader and activist during his undergraduate days.
“Nigerian students recognize and deeply appreciate your tireless efforts in driving educational advancement and community development in Ede Federal Constituency,” Comrade Kayode stated.
Reacting to the award, Rep. Bamidele Salam expressed his heartfelt gratitude, emphasizing that the recognition serves as a renewed call to duty.
“I am deeply honoured by this recognition from the leadership and members of NANS Southwest.
This award is not just a commendation, it is a reminder of the responsibility we owe the next generation.
I remain fully committed to creating more educational opportunities, promoting youth empowerment, and ensuring that no student in Ede Federal Constituency is left behind,” Rep. Salam said.
He further reaffirmed his dedication to educational development, stating that education remains the most powerful tool for community transformation and national growth.
He pledged to continue championing policies and initiatives that will enhance access to quality education for all.
He also praised the role of student organizations in nation-building and urged young Nigerians to remain focused, determined, and active in shaping the country’s future.
