Rep Bamidele Salam Congratulates Grace Ike On election As FCT NUJ Chairperson
The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts, Rep. Bamidele Salam, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Comrade Grace Ike on her election as Chairperson of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter.
In a congratulatory letter addressed to Comrade Ike, Salam described her emergence as a well-deserved recognition of her professionalism, dedication, and outstanding contributions to journalism over the years.
Salam noted that her victory reflects the trust and confidence her colleagues have in her ability to lead one of the most vibrant and critical chapters of the NUJ.
He wrote, “The media remains an indispensable pillar of democracy, and under your leadership, I am confident that the FCT NUJ will continue to uphold the principles of fairness, accountability, and truth in reportage.”
The lawmaker further assured Comrade Ike of his unwavering support and collaboration, expressing his best wishes for a successful tenure as she steers the union toward greater achievements.
Salam also reiterated his belief in her capacity to strengthen the role of the media in fostering democratic values and promoting professional journalism in Nigeria.
