Rep. Bamidele Salam Celebrates Philanthropist and Business Icon, Dr. Deji Adeleke, at 69

The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State in the National Assembly, Rep. Bamidele Salam, has congratulated renowned Nigerian business magnate and philanthropist, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, on the occasion of his 69th birthday, describing him as a rare leader whose generosity and commitment to humanity continue to inspire countless lives.

In a heartfelt tribute on Friday, the lawmaker praised Dr. Adeleke’s unwavering faith in God, his passion for excellence, and his remarkable contributions to education, business and community development in Nigeria and beyond.

“Happy 69th birthday to my mentor, guardian and destiny helper, Dr. Deji Adeleke.

“Your good heart towards all mankind, your unwavering trust in God, and your dedication to excellence are virtues worthy of emulation by all who seek to make meaningful impact in society,” Salam said.

Rep. Salam noted that Dr. Adeleke’s life story exemplifies the values of hard work, faith and generosity, adding that his mentorship and fatherly guidance have positively shaped many lives, including his own.

“My family is proud to have you as a father figure. We pray that the Lord of Hosts keeps you and your family in perfect health, joy and everlasting peace in Jesus Christ’s name,” Salam added.

He concluded by wishing the celebrated billionaire continued grace, strength and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.

Dr. Adeleke, a globally respected entrepreneur and educationist, is the founder and President of Pacific Holdings Limited, a diversified conglomerate with interests spanning energy, agriculture, real estate, and logistics.

He is also the founder and Pro-Chancellor of Adeleke University in Ede, Osun State, which was established in 2011 to provide quality education and expand opportunities for young Nigerians.

Born on March 6, 1957 in Enugu State, Dr. Adeleke hails from Ede in Osun State.

He studied Finance at Western Kentucky University in the United States where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in 1979 and later obtained an MBA in 1981 before completing a doctorate in International Business.

Beyond business success, Dr. Adeleke is widely respected for his philanthropic work through the Springtime Development Foundation, which has sponsored education for many underprivileged Nigerians.

His contributions to education and youth development have earned him recognition as one of Nigeria’s most influential private investors in the education sector.

He is also the father of internationally acclaimed Afrobeats star Davido and elder brother to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, further underscoring the family’s notable influence in business, politics and entertainment.
