Eid-el-Kabir: Rep. Bamidele Salam Calls for National Unity, Compassion Among Nigerians

The Member representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State in the National Assembly, Representative Bamidele Salam, has congratulated Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, calling on Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion and peaceful coexistence.

In a goodwill message issued to mark the celebration, the lawmaker described Eid-el-Kabir as a significant period for reflection on the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, tolerance and love for humanity as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

Rep. Salam urged Nigerians to use the occasion to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and support one another, especially the less privileged, amid the current economic and social challenges facing the country.

According to him, the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir should inspire citizens and leaders alike to make sacrifices necessary for national growth, peace and sustainable development.

“At this important moment in our national journey, Nigerians must remain hopeful, united and committed to the ideals of peace, justice and mutual understanding.

The lessons of Eid-el-Kabir remind us that sacrifice, compassion and faith are essential to building a stronger and more prosperous nation,” he stated.

The federal lawmaker also encouraged Nigerians to continue praying for the unity, stability and progress of the country, expressing optimism that Nigeria would overcome its challenges through collective responsibility and patriotic leadership.

Salam further commended the resilience of Nigerians and urged citizens not to lose faith in the country’s future, stressing that national prosperity can only be achieved through cooperation, tolerance and shared commitment to the common good.

He wished Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir celebration and prayed for continued harmony, security and prosperity across Nigeria.
