Rep. Bamidele Salam To Inaugurate Ramadan Food and Welfare Packages Distribution Committee on Sunday

The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State in the National Assembly, Representative Bamidele Salam, has announced the composition of a 15-member committee to handle this year’s distribution of food and other welfare packages for vulnerable members of his constituency during the forthcoming Ramadhan fasting.

The Committee which is headed by Chairman of Ede Muslim Council, Dr Misbahudeen Idris will be formally inaugurated on Sunday, 15th February at the Constituency office in Ede.

According to a statement issued by the Media office of the lawmaker, the committee comprises Islamic religious leaders, local government representatives, women leaders, and other community stakeholders from across the four local governments in the constituency.

Salam stated that the committee’s structure is designed to ensure transparency, equity, and effective coordination in the distribution of food palliatives to residents during the holy month of Ramadan.

He explained that the initiative is part of his ongoing efforts to support constituents particularly the vulnerable by easing the economic burden often associated with the fasting period.

The committee has been mandated to identify and invite beneficiaries accordingly, ensuring that the distribution process is orderly, fair, and impactful across all communities in the constituency.
