Rep. Bamidele Salam Felicitates Oba Abdulrasaq Taiwo Adegboye on 4th Anniversary as Alawo of Awo
The Lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State at the National Assembly, Representative Bamidele Salam has extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulrasaq Taiwo Adegboye, Alawo of Awo, on the occasion of his fourth anniversary on the throne.
In a statement released on Saturday, Rep. Salam, who also serves as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee, described Oba Adegboye’s reign as a period of peace, progress, and unity for the ancient town of Awo in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State.
“As a proud son of Awo, I join thousands of indigenes at home and in the diaspora in celebrating our revered monarch, Oba Abdulrasaq Taiwo Adegboye, on the fourth anniversary of his ascension to the throne.
“Over the past four years, Kabiyesi has demonstrated uncommon wisdom, humility, and commitment to the development of our community.
His reign has brought renewed cultural pride, infrastructural progress, and peaceful coexistence among our people,” Rep. Salam said.
Rep. Salam noted that the Alawo of Awo has continued to play a vital role in fostering collaboration between traditional institutions and government authorities, contributing significantly to the socio-economic advancement of the town and the wider Egbedore Local Government.
He prayed for the monarch’s continued health, strength, and divine wisdom as he leads the community toward greater heights.
“As we celebrate this milestone, I reaffirm my commitment to partnering with our royal institution to bring more development and opportunities to Awo and the entire constituency,” Rep. Salam added.
The lawmaker urged all sons and daughters of Awo to continue supporting the monarch in his quest to uphold the values, traditions, and aspirations of the people.
Oba Abdulrasaq Taiwo Adegboye was installed as the Alawo of Awo in 2021, and his reign has since been marked by efforts to promote education, youth empowerment, and cultural renaissance in the community.
