Ramadan: Rep Bamidele Salam Supports Constituents with Food Items, Cash Gifts
As Muslims around the world observe the holy month of Ramadan, over 5,000 households in Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun State have benefited from Representative Bamidele Salam’s Ramadan Food and Welfare Package. The initiative, which took place on Sunday, provided food items and cash assistance worth several millions of naira.
Last week, Rep Bamidele Salam had set up a distribution committee to oversee the equitable sharing of these relief materials. The committee, chaired by the Chairman of the Ede Muslim Council, Engr. (Dr) Musbaudeen Olatunde Idris, ensured the smooth distribution of essential food items, including yam flour, garri, semovita, rice, Indomie noodles, Power Oil, sugar, salt, and other seasonings.
The relief materials were distributed to a diverse group of beneficiaries, including, various Islamic groups, community organizations, mosques, and Tafsir centers, Association of Persons Living with Disabilities, Traditional and political leaders, Students and youth associations within the federal constituency
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Dr. Musbaudeen Olatunde Idris expressed profound gratitude to Representative Bamidele Salam for his continued support for Muslims during this sacred period. He confirmed that over 5,000 individuals, groups and organisations have received both cash and food assistance as provided by the Lawmaker and outlined by the distribution committee
In addition to the Ramadan welfare package, the free medical outreach facilitated by Rep. Bamidele Salam continued in Ede on Sunday, providing critical healthcare services to residents. The program, which commenced yesterday, is aimed at alleviating health challenges faced by the constituents.
Beneficiaries of both the welfare package and medical outreach have continued to shower prayers on Rep Bamidele Salam, expressing their deep appreciation for his generosity and commitment to their well-being. Most of them described the initiative as a lifelong blessing that will remain in their hearts.
