2026 Governorship Election: Salam, Akinleye Rally Support For Governor Adeleke At Federal Constituency Meeting

Earlier on Sunday, 21st of December, 2025, the lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Representative Bamidele Salam , alongside the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, called on all members of the Accord Party and lovers of democracy to redouble their support for the Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, as the state gradually inches towards the August 8, 2026 gubernatorial election.

The call was made during their respective remarks at an end-of-the-year meeting of the federal constituency, convened at the instance of Rep Salam and held at his country home in Awo.

In his address, Rep Bamidele Salam urged party faithful to work like true Imole evangelists, conscientising and mobilising prospective voters on the need to rally round the Accord as the inevitable platform for sustaining good governance under the visionary leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Both leaders spoke glowingly about the remarkable achievements recorded by Governor Adeleke within just three years in office, stressing the need for the Ede Federal Constituency to take a leading role in the forthcoming election to guarantee an unassailable victory for the hardworking Governor.

Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, while commending the exemplary legislative representation of Rep Bamidele Salam, assured party members that the Accord would, in no distant time, begin to witness a tumultuous influx of new members into its fold across the constituency and beyond.

A major highlight of the gathering was the distribution of food items and cash support to all party executives in the 42 wards and the four local governments that make up the federal constituency in the spirit of the christmas festivities.

The well-attended meeting had in attendance members of the State Executive Council, State Assembly members in the four local governments, party leaders, and various categories of political functionaries, reaffirming the growing unity and resolve within the Accord to consolidate on the gains of good governance in Osun State.
