The Law Student’s Association Of Nigeria (LAWSAN), University of Abuja chapter has bestowed upon Representative Bamidele Salam the prestigious Meritorious Award of Excellence.

The representative of the union led by Lawal Farouq presented the award to the lawmaker in his office at the National Assembly, Abuja on Wednesday.

Representative Bamidele Salam, who represents the constituents of Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo of Osun State, is not only a lawmaker but also a seasoned lawyer.

Farouq said that the recognition was in acknowledgment of Rep. Salam’s exceptional contributions to the legal profession and legal education, as well as his unwavering dedication to advancing Nigerian democracy through his role in the Legislative arm.

He commended his tireless efforts in promoting the rule of law and upholding the principles of justice within the Nigerian legal system.

The Union President praised him for his role as a mentor and a source of inspiration for the younger generation of legal practitioners.

“His commitment to guiding aspiring lawyers and instilling in them a sense of responsibility towards their profession was a significant factor in his selection for the award.

“We appreciate Representative Bamidele Salam for his exemplary leadership and dedication to the legal profession.

“His mentorship and guidance have been invaluable to aspiring lawyers, and his contributions to Nigerian democracy through the Legislative arm are commendable,” stated a representative from LAWSAN.

LAWSAN expressed gratitude for his continued efforts in shaping the future of the legal landscape in Nigeria and looks forward to his continued impact in the years to come.

Rep. Salam graciously accepted the Meritorious Award of Excellence from the Law Students and pledged his unwavering support and continuous mentorship to the aspiring lawyers within the organization.

In his address, he expressed his gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him and reiterated his commitment to guiding and inspiring the next generation of legal professionals.

He emphasized the importance of mentorship in fostering growth and development within the legal community and reaffirmed his dedication to nurturing future leaders in the field of law.
