…Schedule of distribution

The Media Unit of the office of the member representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun state in the National Assembly, Representative Bamidele Salam, wishes to confirm the receipt of the first consignment out of sixty-two metric tonnes of 50kg rice palliative provided by the Federal Government through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security for distribution to vulnerable Nigerians in our Federal constituency.

The first consignment has a total of 840 bags, while the contractor has assured that the remaining 400 bags will be delivered before Sunday.

Rep. Bamidele Salam has equally added 100 bags of beans, assorted food and clothing items to the Federal Government palliative in order to reach more vulnerable households in the Federal constituency.

The Hon. member has therefore directed that distribution commences to the following beneficiaries in the four local governments of Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore. and Ejigbo federal constituency

The beneficiaries are:


*Artisan Groups

*Traders Associations

*Religious organisations

*Traditional institutions

*Labour Unions (NUT & NULGE, )

*Nigeria Union of Pensioners

*Students and youths bodies

*Women Groups

*People Living With Disabilities

*Political Parties

*Private Schools teachers (25 low fee paying Schools selected from the 4 local governments)

*Socio-cultural organisations (Hausa, Fulani, Igbo, and Benue communities through their leaderships)

Accredited representatives of the various groups are admonished to link up with the constituency office of the Hon member, Opposite Seventh Day Adventist Grammar School, Ede to collect their allocation papers and thereafter proceed to take delivery of the items on Monday 15th January beginning from 10am.

The allocation to traditional rulers, religious centres, Orphanages and people living with disabilities will be delivered directly by the constituency office.

While thanking His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, His Excellency Tajudeen Abbass, for working together to deliver this initiative, the Honourable member assures people in the federal constituency of impacting projects, programmes and other services facilitated in the 2024 federal budget which has been signed into law by the President.
