Barely one month after receiving the African Leadership Award in the ‘Defender of Democracy Category’ from The Nigeria Project Ambassadors Initiative, Representative Bamidele Salam is billed to receive an Award of Excellence on Monday, 12th July, 2021.

 

This time, the award is to be bestowed on the lawmaker representing the fantastic people of Ede north, Ede south, Egbedore and Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun state, by the House of Representatives Press Corps, National Assembly chapter Abuja.

According to the letter conveying the media body’s decision dated 29th June, 2021 which was signed by the Chairman of the corps  as well as the Award Planning Committee, Grace Ike and Philip Nyam respectively, Rep. Salam was chosen in recognition of his numerous contributions towards the development of his constituency and Media friendly dispositions.

 

“Your Excellency, this award is in recognition of your outstanding performance as a legislator in the last two years especially your constituency projects and activities.

 

“The corps also acknowledges your contributions on the floor (of the House of Representatives), your deep knowledge of legislative business and contribution to debates and support for the media.

“It is in view of that the House of Representatives Press Corps deemed it fit to specially recognize you”, the award letter stated.

The event which is scheduled to hold at the Executive Hall of the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja at 3:00pm will have the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as Special Guest of Honour.

Rep. Salam has notified the press corps of his acceptance of the award as scheduled.
